People sometimes try to avoid feelings of anger entirely; if you avoid anger, you may feel hurt, but also a victim, a powerless subordinate. You’ll also avoid becoming assertive. You may believe that you have no control over certain situations. You may believe that you are hurt because you are weak, and you may be unable to focus on the fact that the other person’s attitude is at least partly to blame. It is critical to acknowledge your pain without becoming a powerless victim.
In the next post.
I’ll discuss some self-beliefs that may prevent you from exploring your anger and learning how to use it assertively.
Take care.
Don’t hesitate to ask or share anything with me.
Great post Sana – you’re spot on – we can’t ignore any of our emotions. I particularly liked this point: “You’ll also avoid becoming assertive.” Ignoring emotions stunts our growth.
Exactly!!
Thank you.
Sana, I look forward to the continuation of this excellent post. And it so kind that you offer to listen to people. Are you a therapist? Thank you🙏🏽
Thank you so much!!No I’m not but maybe in the future 😅.
Stay blessed ❤️
As soon as I pop off, I’m over my anger. I swear too much and I have perfect blood pressure 🙂
I can understand!😅
