Brain and Heart

Should I listen to my brain or heart?

Consider a situation in which you have two opportunities in one job and you are getting good earnings. Assume everything is perfect, but the problem is that it is not a job you have wished for and it is not something your heart allows you to do.

On the other hand, there is a job where your salary is not as high as the first, but it is the job you have desired, and your heart has agreed to do it. Now, would you choose your brain or your heart? I’m sure your brain will think about money and all these opportunities, but your heart will tell you repeatedly that this is not something you’ve wished for.

If I tell you about myself, I’d choose the second option because I know that if I follow my heart, there will be no regrets, but if I follow my brain, I’ll be unhappy and may eventually leave that job because if I’m not happy and satisfied, how can I enjoy it?

In my opinion always consider your heart, listen to it . It depends on the individual, but I believe it is a good idea to prioritise your heart over your brain.

In every situation where I had to choose between my brain and my heart, I always chose my heart.
What are your thoughts?

  1. I’ve been in this situation and I followed my heart. So long as you have enough money to pay the bills; keep a roof over your head and food on the table, then other driving forces come into play. I think people need to identify what’s important for them. For me, it’s job satisfaction. Doing something worthwhile, where I can take pride in what I do and where I’m appreciated and valued. However, we’re not all the same and some people work for money to give them a lifestyle – holidays, fancy houses, cars etc. It comes down to what matters most for a person

  2. Facts, happiness flows… everything else will gravitate towards you. Law of attraction! Energy is everything, and if you’re unhappy- you’ll just be attracting more shit to be unhappy about.

  3. Personally I try to use both my brain/heart. However, it is quite important that you are happy in your job. I am sure the brain would agree. By the way When I opened your post I got a notice about some plan soon expiring. You probably know already but I thought I mention it.
